So there's nothing like a free Business Class buffet to start off the day. So many foods to choose.
I started with my sausage, cheese and tomato, orange juice followed by hard boiled eggs then finishing off some duck, salmon and some sweet pastries. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we really stocked up on food and in hindsight it was probably a mistake to be walking around in hot and humid weather with a food coma.
After we decided to walk to Sentosa Island in 30 degree heat, we had to make another pit stop for liquids: Salted Caramel Mocha @ Starbucks.
Then another pit stop @ Old Chang Kee before we left. Old Chang Kee is an established snack chain in Singapore specialising in curry puffs and other local snacks.
A deceiving advertisement saying $1 for Crab Claw Onstick lured me into getting it but in small writing it also said "Buy an 2 purchases and try". After the Crab Claw I needed a Winter Melon Lime drink to wash it down which provided such a refreshing solution to the heat.
After finally leaving Sentosa and stumbling on a hawkers market in Chinatown I finally got my Hainanese Chicken Rice fix. For $3, this was amazing. Chicken was slightly dry though but you can't really complain at that price tag.
My eagerness to try all the foods possible made me purchase my Black Sesame and Peanut Paste dessert. While normally a fantastic treat, the heat and hot desserts was a horrible combination.
Finally for dinner we stumbled into our local Maccas again to get our Asian burger fix. The Samurai burger was the flavour of the month. It wasn't bad for what it was: the sauce was a combination of sweet teriyaki sauce and a "special" sauce. It made a very messy meal.
They loved their Milo in Singapore. Is it just me or was Milo everywhere. Besides cheap coffee, people love getting their Milo intake and to no surprise you can get them in can-form. We also noticed that lots of drinks (especially this Milo) tasted water down.
